LISTEN Now Out: Efya finally debuts ‘Janesis’

Efya recently launched her first studio album “Janesis” at the Plot 7 lounge and Club in Osu, after which the first copy caught a $15,000 bid.  The album launch and autograph signing session was attended by fans and well-wishers including  X.O senavoe, Jupitar, Episode, Reggie Rockstone, Trigmatic, Akuma Mama Zimbi, and many more, came out to support the Songstress.
This album has musical elements of R&B, Hip-hop, Neo-soul, Afropop, and Ragga. These elements are cleverly paired with rhythmic percussion playing along with strings. Vocals are harmonizing in the Ghanaian dialect Twi (an Akan language). On Efya’s LP there are 21 tracks. Janesis won’t disappoint no matter your mood- there is something- for everyone.
In addition to EL, other producers on Efya’s debut album include Legendury Beats, Bisa Kdei who also co-wrote “One of Your Own,” MA, Killbeats, along with other producers. Janesis is passionately orchestrated and taps into the egos of Efya leaving you mesmerized. With songs that are intoxicating such as “Decepticon,” the track plays on seductive and exotic chants over rhythms in Twi.
‘Janesis’  has collaborations with the most notable artist in Africa, Sarkodie, Mugeez, EL, Ice Prince, and Stonebwoy. She has also shared the same stage with international acts such as Chris Brown and others. One of the most recognizable female artist in Africa withmemorable single hits such as “Little Things,” “Best In Me,” “Forgetting Me,” “Life,” “Gingam Too Much,” and “Jorley.” Efya is on the path to engage the world. She’s not stopping. Janesis is truly the beginning for this stylistic talent. The Album is available on iTune
